Overview

Splitly (“the App,” “we,” “us”) helps groups of people track shared expenses and settle up fairly. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, who it may be shared with, and the choices you have. By using Splitly, you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

2.1 Using Splitly without an account

Splitly can be used without an account. In this mode your groups, expenses and settlements are stored only on your device: nothing is uploaded, and none of the data described in this section leaves the phone.

Creating an account later is optional. When you do, the groups already on your device are copied to our servers so they can be backed up, synced and shared. Until you create an account, the parts of this policy describing account data, cloud storage and sharing with other group members do not apply to you.

2.2 Account Information

To create and secure your account, we collect:

• Email address — required to sign in, whether you sign in with a password or with Google.
• Password — if you sign in by email and password. Your password is never stored by Splitly directly; it is handled and stored securely by our authentication provider (Firebase Authentication), using industry-standard hashing.
• Name — either the display name from your Google account (if you use Google Sign-In) or a name you enter yourself. Your name is visible to other members of any group you join, since the App's purpose is to show who owes what within a shared group.

2.3 Group and Expense Data

To provide the App's core function, we store the data you create inside the App:

• Groups you create or join, and their members
• Expenses you add: description, amount, currency, date, who paid, and how the expense is split among members
• Itemized bill details (individual items, quantities, prices, fees, and discounts), when you use itemized expense entry — this detail is kept on your own device and is not currently transmitted to our servers
• Settlement records (who paid whom, to reconcile balances)

This data is visible to other members of groups you share, because showing shared balances accurately to everyone in the group is the App's core purpose.

2.4 Diagnostic and Crash Data

We use Firebase Crashlytics to help us detect and fix crashes and technical errors. This may include: device model and operating system version, app version, and technical details about the error (such as a stack trace). This data is used solely to improve app stability and is not used to identify you personally beyond what is necessary to investigate a reported crash.

2.5 Device Integrity Data

To protect your account and data from abuse (such as fraudulent or automated access), the App uses Firebase App Check, which relies on Google Play Integrity on Android to confirm that requests to our backend come from a genuine, unmodified copy of the App running on a genuine device. This process does not collect personal information beyond a device integrity signal used for this security check.

2.6 Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your phone number.
• We do not access your photos, contacts, or location.
• We do not use your data for advertising, and the App does not display third-party ads.
• We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To provide the App's core functionality — tracking and splitting shared expenses within groups you choose to join
• To keep your data synchronized across your devices, where applicable
• To detect, diagnose, and fix technical problems (crash reporting)
• To protect the App and its users from fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
• To communicate with you about your account if necessary (e.g. security notices)

Who We Share Information With

Recipient	Why
Other members of a group you join	Your name and the expenses/balances relevant to that group, so the group can see an accurate shared ledger
Google Firebase (Google LLC)	Our backend infrastructure — authentication, database storage (Firestore), crash reporting (Crashlytics), and app integrity checks (App Check). Firebase processes data on our behalf under Google's own data processing terms.
Google Sign-In	If you choose to sign in with Google, Google shares your basic profile information (name, email) with the App, as authorized by you during sign-in.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored locally on your device (for offline access) and, where applicable, synced to Google Firebase's cloud infrastructure. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and Firebase's built-in security rules restricting access to your own data and the groups you belong to. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

We retain your account and group data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account through the App, your account and associated personal data are removed from our active systems, subject to any residual copies retained briefly for backup, security, or legal compliance purposes before permanent deletion.

Your Rights and Choices

• Access and correction — you can view and edit your name and account details within the App.
• Deletion — you can delete your account at any time from the Account screen within the App. This removes your account and associated data as described in Section 6.
• Data portability — you can use the App's built-in sharing feature to export a summary of your group's balances at any time.

Children's Privacy

Splitly is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required by your local law), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country of residence, including in countries where Google Firebase operates data centers. By using the App, you consent to this transfer, storage, and processing.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

«قسمة» (ويُشار إليه بـ«التطبيق» أو «نحن») يساعد مجموعات الأشخاص على تتبّع المصروفات المشتركة وتسويتها بإنصاف. توضّح سياسة الخصوصية هذه ما المعلومات التي يجمعها التطبيق، وكيف تُستخدم، ومع مَن قد تُشارَك، وما الخيارات المتاحة لك. وباستخدامك «قسمة» فإنك توافق على الممارسات الموضّحة هنا.

المعلومات التي نجمعها

٢.١ استخدام «قسمة» بدون حساب

يمكن استخدام «قسمة» بدون حساب. وفي هذه الحالة تُحفظ مجموعاتك ومصروفاتك وتسوياتك على جهازك وحده: لا يُرفع أي شيء، ولا تغادر الهاتفَ أيٌّ من البيانات الموصوفة في هذا القسم.

وإنشاء حساب لاحقاً اختياري. وعند إنشائه تُنسخ المجموعات الموجودة بالفعل على جهازك إلى خوادمنا ليصبح بالإمكان الاحتفاظ بنسخة منها ومزامنتها ومشاركتها. وإلى أن تُنشئ حساباً، فإن أجزاء هذه السياسة التي تتحدّث عن بيانات الحساب والتخزين السحابي والمشاركة مع بقية أعضاء المجموعة لا تنطبق عليك.

٢.٢ معلومات الحساب

لإنشاء حسابك وتأمينه، نجمع ما يلي:

• البريد الإلكتروني — مطلوب لتسجيل الدخول، سواء سجّلت الدخول بكلمة مرور أو عبر Google.
• كلمة المرور — إذا سجّلت الدخول بالبريد الإلكتروني وكلمة المرور. لا يخزّن «قسمة» كلمة مرورك مباشرةً إطلاقاً؛ بل يتولّى حفظها بأمان مزوّد المصادقة لدينا (Firebase Authentication) باستخدام تجزئة وفق معايير الصناعة.
• الاسم — إمّا الاسم المعروض من حساب Google الخاص بك (إذا استخدمت تسجيل الدخول عبر Google) أو اسم تُدخله بنفسك. واسمك ظاهر لبقية أعضاء أي مجموعة تنضمّ إليها، لأن الغرض من التطبيق هو بيان ما على كل شخص وما له داخل المجموعة المشتركة.

٢.٣ بيانات المجموعات والمصروفات

لتقديم الوظيفة الأساسية للتطبيق، نحفظ البيانات التي تُنشئها داخله:

• المجموعات التي تُنشئها أو تنضمّ إليها، وأعضاؤها
• المصروفات التي تضيفها: الوصف والمبلغ والعملة والتاريخ ومَن دفع وكيفية تقسيم المصروف بين الأعضاء
• تفاصيل الفاتورة بالبنود (الأصناف المفردة والكميات والأسعار والرسوم والخصومات) عند استخدامك إدخال المصروفات بالبنود — تبقى هذه التفاصيل على جهازك أنت ولا تُرسَل حالياً إلى خوادمنا
• سجلات التسوية (مَن دفع لمَن، لتسوية الأرصدة)

هذه البيانات ظاهرة لبقية أعضاء المجموعات التي تشاركهم فيها، لأن عرض الأرصدة المشتركة بدقة على جميع أعضاء المجموعة هو الغرض الأساسي من التطبيق.

٢.٤ بيانات التشخيص والأعطال

نستخدم Firebase Crashlytics لمساعدتنا في اكتشاف الأعطال والأخطاء التقنية وإصلاحها. وقد يشمل ذلك: طراز الجهاز وإصدار نظام التشغيل وإصدار التطبيق وتفاصيل تقنية عن الخطأ (مثل تتبّع المكدّس). وتُستخدم هذه البيانات حصراً لتحسين استقرار التطبيق، ولا تُستخدم للتعرّف عليك شخصياً بما يتجاوز ما يلزم للتحقيق في عطل مُبلَّغ عنه.

٢.٥ بيانات سلامة الجهاز

لحماية حسابك وبياناتك من إساءة الاستخدام (مثل الوصول الاحتيالي أو الآلي)، يستخدم التطبيق Firebase App Check، الذي يعتمد على Google Play Integrity على أندرويد للتأكّد من أن الطلبات الواردة إلى خادمنا صادرة عن نسخة أصلية غير معدَّلة من التطبيق تعمل على جهاز أصلي. ولا تجمع هذه العملية أي معلومات شخصية بخلاف إشارة سلامة الجهاز المستخدمة في هذا الفحص الأمني.

٢.٦ معلومات لا نجمعها

• لا نجمع رقم هاتفك.
• لا نصل إلى صورك أو جهات اتصالك أو موقعك.
• لا نستخدم بياناتك لأغراض الإعلانات، ولا يعرض التطبيق إعلانات من جهات خارجية.
• لا نبيع معلوماتك الشخصية لأي جهة.

كيف نستخدم معلوماتك

• لإنشاء حسابك وإدارته
• لتقديم الوظيفة الأساسية للتطبيق — تتبّع المصروفات المشتركة وتقسيمها داخل المجموعات التي تختار الانضمام إليها
• لمزامنة بياناتك بين أجهزتك، حيثما ينطبق ذلك
• لاكتشاف المشكلات التقنية وتشخيصها وإصلاحها (تقارير الأعطال)
• لحماية التطبيق ومستخدميه من الاحتيال وإساءة الاستخدام والوصول غير المصرّح به
• للتواصل معك بشأن حسابك عند الضرورة (مثل الإشعارات الأمنية)

مع مَن نشارك المعلومات

تسجيل الدخول عبر Google	إذا اخترت تسجيل الدخول عبر Google، تشارك Google معلومات ملفك الأساسية (الاسم والبريد الإلكتروني) مع التطبيق، وفق ما تأذن به أثناء تسجيل الدخول.

لا نبيع بياناتك الشخصية ولا نؤجّرها ولا نتاجر بها مع جهات خارجية لأغراض تسويقية.

تخزين البيانات وأمانها

تُحفظ بياناتك محلياً على جهازك (للوصول دون اتصال)، وتُزامَن حيثما ينطبق ذلك إلى بنية Google Firebase السحابية. ونتّخذ تدابير تقنية وتنظيمية معقولة لحماية معلوماتك، منها الاتصالات المشفّرة (HTTPS/TLS) وقواعد الأمان المدمجة في Firebase التي تقصر الوصول على بياناتك أنت والمجموعات التي تنتمي إليها. ومع ذلك، ليست هناك وسيلة تخزين أو نقل إلكتروني آمنة بنسبة ١٠٠٪، ولا يمكننا ضمان الأمان المطلق.

الاحتفاظ بالبيانات

نحتفظ ببيانات حسابك ومجموعاتك ما دام حسابك نشطاً. وإذا حذفت حسابك من داخل التطبيق، يُزال حسابك والبيانات الشخصية المرتبطة به من أنظمتنا النشطة، مع مراعاة أي نسخ متبقّية يُحتفظ بها لفترة وجيزة لأغراض النسخ الاحتياطي أو الأمان أو الامتثال القانوني قبل الحذف النهائي.

حقوقك وخياراتك

• الاطّلاع والتصحيح — يمكنك عرض اسمك وتفاصيل حسابك وتعديلها داخل التطبيق.
• الحذف — يمكنك حذف حسابك في أي وقت من شاشة «الحساب» داخل التطبيق. ويؤدي ذلك إلى إزالة حسابك والبيانات المرتبطة به على النحو الموضّح في القسم ٦.
• قابلية نقل البيانات — يمكنك استخدام خاصية المشاركة المدمجة في التطبيق لتصدير ملخّص لأرصدة مجموعتك في أي وقت.

خصوصية الأطفال

«قسمة» غير موجّه إلى الأطفال دون سنّ ١٣ عاماً (أو السنّ الأدنى الذي يقتضيه القانون المحلي لديك)، ونحن لا نجمع عن علم معلومات شخصية من الأطفال. وإذا كنت تعتقد أن طفلاً قد زوّدنا بمعلومات شخصية، فيُرجى التواصل معنا لإزالتها.

نقل البيانات دولياً

قد تُعالَج معلوماتك وتُخزَّن على خوادم تقع خارج بلد إقامتك، بما في ذلك دول تشغّل فيها Google Firebase مراكز بيانات. وباستخدامك التطبيق فإنك توافق على هذا النقل والتخزين والمعالجة.

تغييرات على هذه السياسة

قد نحدّث سياسة الخصوصية هذه من حين لآخر لتعكس تغييرات في ممارساتنا أو لأسباب قانونية. وسنحدّث تاريخ «آخر تحديث» أعلى هذه الصفحة عند القيام بذلك. ويُعدّ استمرارك في استخدام التطبيق بعد أي تغيير قبولاً للسياسة المحدَّثة.
